I took the bus to nowhere

May today bring with it....

Something refreshing.

Someone used this word to describe my talk on Tuesday and first off, what a compliment. The word refreshing has been on my mind ever since.

I took the bus today without a destination in mind.

You see, I've been working 6 days a week.

In preparation for the new cohort of my coaching program for women in tech.

And I love it.

But slowly, slowly, a heaviness began to creep in.

I start having fewer ideas.

I stop thinking "what's fun" and focus on "there's so much I have to do."

So I got on the bus today.

And didn't get off at my regular stop.

I rode it for over an hour to the end of the line.

I ended up at a cafe with orange hues, raspberry coconut pastries (their specialty), and a small neighborhood feel.

Ravished from an unexpectedly long journey, I nixed the menu.

And pointed at a circular egg dish on someone else's table.

"That. I'll have that!" I said.

And it was so damn delicious.

When you start to feel heavy.

Take the bus.

Proverbial or not.

To somewhere unexpected.

Shake up your routine.

Leave the airpods in your bag.

And ahem, your phone.

And notice more.

Experiment more.

Give yourself space to make choices that really feel like you.

AuthenTech Kicks Off July 9th!

The doors have just opened for AuthenTech, my group coaching program specifically for women in tech at a crossroads.

If you're craving lightness in your career. Fun. Community.

This program is for you.

Here's what one client said after just our first session (she landed a new job + higher pay):

"For anyone struggling to see a way forward or feeling hopeless about their career, I highly recommend working with Sarah.

You’re guaranteed to walk out with a fresh perspective and a feeling of agency."
- Polina V

❤️ The next intimate + wondrous cohort will kick off on July 9th and we'll have 12 fantastic weeks together.

Shiny Things That Caught My Eye (and I want to share them!)

  • Wild apple & cinnamon tea. I'm applauding the person who named this tea. I bought it for the name alone and even in 70-degree weather, I'm feeling cozy and autumnal.

  • Remember this song? I played it before my workshop on Tuesday and the people who knew, well, knew. It was a vibe.
